Who is Joseph Kony?

I can't fall asleep without thinking of these kids. 

There is a lot of argument about whether or not this organization has real integrity or if it's a whole lot of hooplah and a way to get rich quick playing off of people's emotions. 

Who really cares?

This is a situation people need to know about. 

I think raising the global awareness can do nothing but good. I'm annoyed by those cynical intellectuals out there who choose to jump into conversation and threads only to say that it's silly and naive to get behind this organization because it's flawed. 

It's one thing to propose a plan of your own,

 but there is nothing productive about tearing down 

and picking apart someone's honest effort to make a positive

change in the world. 

I was so moved by this. 

It really opened my eyes and made me think outside myself.

So yeah, it probably won't solve the problem over night

But it made a world of difference to me.

Soccer Girls

Okay, so I apologize for the language in this, (it's mostly bleeped out but still prettty sketchy..)
my roommate showed this to me this morning and I can not. stop. laughing.

This used to be my life.

Honestly, I'm happy to be where I'm at right now...but watching this really made me miss when I was all about soccer 24/7. It was seriously a hilarious and awful and wonderful time in my life.

I miss it a lot.

But! I'm really excited about coaching now. Teaching is something I'm also really passionate about and I'm stoked for the chance to combine the two.  I can still be super involved with the sport and environment I love but just at a different level.

I finished the course last week to get my National D license...It was stressful sometimes and FREEZING playing 6 hours straight.

 in February.
 in Logan.
But I survived and I'm just waiting for something to come in the mail to let me know whether or not I passed...

Fingers crossed.
